That’s why I’m so excited to spotlight the Everyday Women Tarot, a Kickstarter project by Denis and Anastasiya Dyshlovenko of Life Spirit Tarot that is unapologetically dedicated to celebrating women in all their complexity, diversity, and power.
Too often, mainstream tarot decks lean into outdated archetypes, with imagery stuck in the past and representation limited to narrow ideals. Everyday Women Tarot offers a much-needed shift, this is a vibrant, inclusive deck that honors real women’s lives. Featuring 78 full-color cards with original artwork, this deck presents women as they are: teachers, healers, creators, and seekers. I love that it has no clichés, no stereotypes, just honest, dynamic depictions of womanhood in all its forms.
The project’s creators emphasizes that the deck is for “anyone who identifies as a woman, loves women, or wants to work with imagery that reflects everyday modern life.” From boardrooms to creative studios, from nature trails to cozy homes, the Everyday Women Tarot showcases women’s presence in every facet of life.
I definitely applaud how this project foregrounds representation in tarot, an often overlooked but powerful space for reflection and empowerment. Everyday Women Tarot isn’t just about beautiful artwork, it’s a statement: that women, in all their diversity, deserve to be seen, celebrated, and spiritually affirmed.
