Sacred Witness Oracle

I’ve recently taken up journaling. What started as a fun experiment inspired by the Traveler’s Notebook, has become a practice of noticing and reflecting. So when I came across Sacred Witness Oracle, Michelle Holling-Brooks’ new Kickstarter project, it immediately felt like a companion piece to the pages I’ve been filling.

Michelle brings decades of experience to this project: she’s a trauma-informed specialist, somatic healing coach, astrologer, archetypal consultant, and yes, a self-described rebel and soul embodiment activist. Sacred Witness Oracle synthesizes her work into a 56-card, hand-painted deck accompanied by a soulwork guidebook and, as a stretch goal, a companion audio or journal edition.

The imagery is quietly evocative: each card radiates soft watercolor tones and subtle symbolism that invites slow, grounding attention. One highlight features a stoic stag, an icon of presence and stillness that embodies the deck’s intention to awaken our inner witness rather than prompt immediate answers.

Designed more to do more than guide intuition, this campaign is meant to invite pause, reflection, and recalibration. Michelle describes the deck as a “soul companion,” not a fortune-teller, layered with somatic practices and shadow work aimed at cultivating internal connection.

The Kickstarter campaign is well beyond its initial goal, powered by early supporters who resonate with its spirit-led vision. Each backer unlocks additional soulwork, like a $75 group workshop during the campaign, offered as a gratitude gift. That’s the kind of reciprocity Michelle builds into all her offerings.

If you’re ever find yourself staring at a blank page in your journal and wished for a nudge, Sacred Witness Oracle might be just the invitation you need to write your own way through.
